Acrylic/PVC is not used very often in automotive applications. However, it is used often in aircraft interior applications. In aircraft interior applications, you will find Acrylic/PVC used for pull-down trays, seat backs, window shades, and other applications where a low-flammability, thermoformed plastic sheet is best. It is also used in applications where you need something that is waterproof, scratch resistant and doesn’t stretch or shrink under normal conditions.
