This feed is designed to be fed to laying chickens from 16 weeks of age and continuing through their productive life.

Begin feeding Southern States 16% Layer Feed Pellets from 16 weeks of age through the laying period. This is a complete, balanced ration. Scratch grain is not needed, but may be fed as a treat not more than 10% of total diet. Keep feeders approximately half filled at all times. Provide plenty of fresh, clean water at alltimes. Oyster shell or ground limestone and grit may be offered free-choice in addition to Southern States Layer Feeds.
Store feed in a clean, cool and dry location. The storage area should be free of insects and rodents. Do not allowanimals access to feedstuffs that show signs of insect or rodent infestation. Do not allow animals access to hot ormoldy feedstuffs at any time.
